Position Overview:
As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects in the Austin area. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and their skilled construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and labor to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Provide clear communication and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Problem-solve and make decisions to resolve on-site issues as they arise.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Mentor and coach construction team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
