LVI have a great opportunity for a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join a high-end commercial roofing business based out of Baltimore, Maryland. This client is a multi-disciplinary roofing firm who is looking to add an Estimator to their team - they complete work both within the residential and commercial sectors, having an emphasis on mid-large scale commercial re-roofs. Since inception, this firm has been a staple within the DC / Maryland roofing space, developing a market leading reputation from their customer service as well as quality of work.
Job Summary:
As a Commercial Estimator you will generate detailed cost-analysis and scope of work estimates, utilizing vendor and subcontractor quotes as well as site surveys. An Estimator will collaborate with the Sales Team, Customer and Manufacturers to provide bids in a timely manner that meet specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Managing bid schedule
- Working with roof techs to review the existing roof drawings/takeoffs turned in to Estimator
- Obtaining quotes from vendors
- Completing spreadsheets/bids and scope/proposal reviews
- Communication with sales team on bid schedules, pricing etc.
- Assembling and turning in submittal packages when required
- Job preparation/set-up on awarded bids. Hand-off budget/bid package to Project Manager and assist with job set-up as needed to ensure efficient job start-up
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the Commercial Roofing market, ideally with a focus on Estimation
- Technical knowledge of TPO, EPDM and PVC systems and various methods of attachment and Manufacturer warranty requirements
- Experience bidding large scale re-roofing projects ($1m+)
- Must be able to efficiently read plans and specifications
- Ability to effectively communicate technical aspects of the potential job to sales reps, education and information of all technical aspects of new roofing/reroofing projects to further reps sales abilities to explain systems/ solutions to customer.
