Position Overview: The Commercial and Tender Manager will be responsible for managing commercial activities and overseeing the tendering process for offshore wind projects. This role involves strategic management of bids, contracts, and commercial relationships to secure new business opportunities and drive the company's growth in the offshore wind sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management: Lead and coordinate the preparation of tender submissions for offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines. Develop and maintain tendering strategies to enhance the company's competitiveness.
Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies to secure new contracts and projects. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify and pursue business opportunities.
Contract Negotiation: Manage the negotiation and finalization of commercial agreements and contracts. Ensure terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with the company's objectives and risk management policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners. Act as the primary point of contact for commercial discussions and negotiations.
Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid process, from initial opportunity identification to proposal submission. Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information, develop bid documents, and ensure high-quality submissions.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments for commercial proposals and contracts. Ensure that all commercial decisions are based on sound financial data and align with company goals.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies. Prepare and present reports on tender performance, commercial activities, and market insights to senior management.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of commercial and tender professionals. Provide guidance and support to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies and tendering processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CIPS) are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial management and tendering within the offshore wind or energy sector. Proven track record in successfully managing tenders and securing contracts.
Skills: Strong understanding of commercial contracts, bid management, and market analysis. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with offshore wind projects and industry-specific commercial practices. Proficiency in tendering software and tools is a plus.
Language: Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, is essential. Ability to communicate effectively with international and local stakeholders.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex commercial issues and develop effective solutions.
