Responsibilities as a Market Lead:
Review all scope and fees developed by market Project Managers
Meet and exceed market annual KPI goals
Check in with the Project Managers and Resource Leads weekly to verify production quantities verses project goals
Support HR for the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, identify promotions and terminating of staff
Collaborate with your team to sell and deliver meaningful work that solves our clients' problems that will allow personal and professional fulfillment
Collaborate with Service Lead to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations and systems
Provide training, mentoring and guidance to responsible staff
Work with Service Leads to coordinate sharing of market resources
Direct prioritization and manage the daily workflow of staff
Responsibilities as a Professional Engineer:
Perform engineering analysis and/or design for storm, sanitary and water utilities, including water/wastewater facilities and pump stations
Storm water analysis and design, including detention, green infrastructure and other sustainable solutions that both reduce storm water flow and improve water quality
Perform design, analysis and engineering of commercial, residential or mixed-use civil site design
Perform engineering analysis, design and plan production for engineering project including roadways, sidewalks and trails
May also perform engineering analysis and/or design for sanitary sewer evaluation studies, including analyzing flow data, reviewing inspection data, hydraulic modeling, and preparing rehabilitation recommendations and plans
Could contribute to design, analysis and engineering of commercial, residential or mixed use civil site design, roadways, sidewalks and trails
Create job specifications and contract documents for bidding purposes
Calculation of quantities and construction cost estimating
Use experience and skills to provide deliverables as outlined in project scope, within budget and on schedule
Complete environmental permit process as required
Lead project team in quality control process
Responsibilities for Professional Management:
Effectively communicate project goals, risks and requirements with clients and project team. This will include the internal project kick-off meeting to discuss project overview, scope, schedule and budget.
Actively manage projects to ensure they are completed as outlined in the scope and on schedule. Level of effort should match fee.
Manage the financial well-being and profitability of your projects
Proposal development, project scope negotiation, cost estimating and schedule development
Actively participate in business development activities to grow our market share and client network utilizing our CRM system
Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer certification required
12+ years of experience
Required Skills/Abilities
Proficient in MicroStation, Open Roads and/or Civil 3D
Working knowledge of and/or desire to learn HECRAS, HECHDR, Innovyze modeling products and/or Revit
Proficient knowledge of design standards, including AASHTO and MUTCD
Proficient knowledge of client standards, including state, local and other municipalities
Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures
Proven leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
