We are seeking an experienced Central Texas Stormwater Lead to guide and grow our clients dynamic Stormwater Practice. This leadership opportunity focuses on delivering high-profile stormwater projects, mentoring a talented team of engineers, and shaping the long-term strategy for stormwater initiatives in Central Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of stormwater professionals, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Project Delivery: Lead municipal stormwater projects, including flood mitigation studies, drainage master planning, and channel restoration efforts.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a growth plan for the Stormwater Practice in Central Texas.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities and clients, driving project pursuits and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage advanced H&H modeling tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM) to deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas with a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- 10+ years of municipal stormwater project experience, with at least 3 years in leadership or project management.
- Strong experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and proficiency with Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Proven track record of working with Central Texas municipalities, especially the City of Austin.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
- Experience with advanced modeling software (e.g., XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS 2D).
- Background in FEMA floodplain modeling, floodplain mapping, and stream bank stabilization.
