We have a current opportunity for a Business Development Manager (Investment) for a renewables developer in Taiwan that focuses on solar and other onshore renewables, on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Taipei. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform industry research to stay current with trends and opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Identify and evaluate potential partners through feasibility studies, and provide management with recommendations based on findings.
- Assess and analyze project viability by conducting financial due diligence and maintaining financial models.
- Generate and provide supporting data for decision-making related to project feasibility.
- Develop and prepare business portfolios, marketing presentations, and related materials.
- Engage with external advisors to conduct Technical, Accounting, and Legal Due Diligence, among other requirements.
- Collaborate with transaction advisors to draft, negotiate, and finalize transaction documents and contracts.
- Prepare documentation for internal approvals, including Investment Committee and Board of Directors presentations, risk assessment reports, and recommendations for senior management.
- Create and manage execution plans for investment transactions (primarily small-scale projects) to align with business goals and requirements.
- Oversee the approval and development of project plans, addressing issues and managing risks.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within budget and to high-quality standards.
- Report on project progress and communicate updates to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA is advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure investments or investment banking.
- Experience in Renewable Energy or a related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
