Job Description:
The Senior Air Quality Compliance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing air quality compliance programs for our clients. You will ensure that our practices align with local, state, and federal air quality regulations and standards, and will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to reduce emissions and enhance air quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage air quality compliance programs and policies.
Ensure adherence to all relevant air quality regulations and standards, including federal, state, and local requirements.
Monitor and report on air quality performance, including emissions data, compliance status, and corrective actions.
Conduct regular air quality audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports, permits, and other required documentation related to air quality.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to address air quality concerns and implement best practices.
Provide guidance and training to staff on air quality compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Stay current with changes in air quality regulations, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in air quality compliance or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of air quality regulations and standards, including EPA, CARB, and local air district requirements.
Proven experience in managing air quality monitoring, reporting, and compliance activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and regulatory bodies.
Professional certifications (e.g., P.E.) are a plus.
