They are seeking a mid-senior level BEC to join their walls department. There is the opportunity to work on a wide range of investigations and mentor the junior cohort in the company. The company has the full array of technical support staff, so there is the opportunity to hit the ground running and have a tangible impact on the trajectory of the company as a senior Building Envelope Consultant.
The Building Enclosure Consultant will be responsible for:
- Lead technical project execution, including investigation, troubleshooting, and detailing of building envelope systems.
- Oversee fieldwork and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as the subject-matter expert.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and provide reviews of work by others.
- Manage project scoping, team assembly, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Develop client relationships and contribute to business growth.
- Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Enhance the firm's profile through participation in professional organisations, conferences, and technical committees.
The Building Enclosure Consultant should have the following qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Building Envelope systems or related field
- Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Science Bachelor's Degree preferred
- IIBEC Credentials preferred
- Familiarity with various materials including air barriers, insulation, sealants and coatings, glazing systems, fenestrations, curtain walls, facades, cladding assemblies, low-slope roofing, steep-slope roofing, below-grade waterproofing, plaza/terrace waterproofing, traffic coatings, green roofs, building science, and more
