Overview:
I am currently seeking an experienced building enclosure specialist to join the client's Chicago office. The successful candidate will work alongside engineering professionals, roofing professionals, and seasoned professionals, performing tasks such as design review, performance modelling, field observation and building enclosure consulting. Additionally, they will perform tasks such as investigating existing building enclosure systems, evaluating building faรงade systems and conducting quality assurance reviews.

My client's Chicago office has a specific specializes in roofing, wall and other building envelope components. They assist their clients across the Midwest with challenges to new and existing construction, commercial, historic and contemporary buildings. They predominantly do commercial insurance related investigations, but also work on the private side.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Preferably PE Licensed or Licensed Architect, OR or RCI designation as an RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide written reports to clients
- Understanding of architectural and structural documents
- Building code knowledge
- Involvement in professional organizations
- Preferably 10 years of experience
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Performs condition surveys and failure investigations of existing buildings related to building enclosure air and moisture leakage
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure engineering quality and accurate technical content of project documents
- Manage detailed evaluation of complicated building faรงade systems
- Build firms reputation in the market, and maintain client base and relationships
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office applications, THERM, WUFI
- Experience with Building Commissioning
