As an AV Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing custom AV control systems for high-profile clients. You will work closely with the engineering team, project managers, and clients to ensure that all systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program AV control systems using Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project requirements and timelines.
- Integrate AV systems with other technology platforms such as lighting, HVAC, and security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming-related issues during installation and post-installation phases.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and programming languages.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in AV programming, preferably in a commercial environment.
- Proficiency in Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar AV control systems.
- Strong understanding of AV systems integration, including video conferencing, digital signage, and networked AV.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Lua, Python, or similar is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX ACE) are highly desirable.
