Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Field Engineer to join our team in Manhattan. As an Audio Visual Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of audio visual systems for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their requirements and deliver customized audio visual solutions that meet their needs. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and configure audio visual systems, including projectors, displays, audio equipment, video conferencing systems, control systems, and other related components.
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine client requirements and provide recommendations for audio visual solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop detailed system designs and engineering documentation.
- Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct system installations and integrations, ensuring proper cable management and system functionality.
- Provide training and technical support to clients on the proper use of audio visual equipment and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the audio visual field.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, including system diagrams, equipment lists, and cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, installations, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Field Engineer or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio visual systems, including projectors, displays, audio equipment, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
- Proficiency in audio visual system design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols such as HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, and AV-over-IP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on client needs and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within the Manhattan area.
