Position Summary: This Asset Manager will be primarily focused on post construction operations and commercial management. A successful candidate will also support other teams such as development, procurement, and construction. Through this exposure to other teams, the Asset Manager will have a great opportunity to see professional growth trajectory within the company.
Location: Houston, TX or Boston, MA (hybrid, open to remote for the right candidate)
The responsibilities of the Senior Associate include:
- Maintain thorough on-going awareness of technical, commercial and financial issues related to assigned projects including appropriately timed visits to the projects.
- Establish and track key project metrics to ensure projects achieve optimal financial and operational performance.
- Develop detailed understanding of project contracts and agreements including those related to operations, regulatory compliance, energy management, asset management, financing, property taxes, insurance, etc.
- Organize and implement project annual operating budgets and business plans that meet SCE's objectives, and subsequently track financial and operational variances.
- Create Excel models for various purposes, including budgeting, invoices and financial analysis of various project opportunities.
The Asset Manager should have the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience managing renewable energy assets
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Engineering, or Economics. MA in relevant field (e.g., engineering, finance, economics) a plus
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Fluency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point, and with SharePoint
- Experience with Power BI and Python programming would be a plus
- Current authorization to live and work in the U.S.
