Recognition of the strategic importance of gender diversity is growing, but many qualified female applicants are dropping out of the recruitment process, according to a recent survey by DSJ Global. While the survey explored insights into gender equality in supply chain, 41% of respondents said they worked in engineering and manufacturing, as well as transport and logistics. With this in mind, we took a deep-dive into the findings to better understand friction points for female talent and how companies can successfully attract and keep women in the recruitment process. The results show that the majority of female applicants have withdrawn from the recruitment process because of perceived gender bias.
