Role Overview: As the Head of Technical and Operations for Solar C&I and Rooftop Projects, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical and operational aspects of our solar projects in the SEA region. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of solar installations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in solar energy systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility assessment to commissioning and maintenance.
- Oversee the design, engineering, and implementation of solar C&I and rooftop projects, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency.
- Evaluate new technologies, products, and best practices to continuously enhance our solar solutions portfolio.
Operations Management:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline project execution, minimize downtime, and maximize project profitability.
- Establish standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for project management, procurement, logistics, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of solar installations to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities and certification bodies to obtain necessary permits and certifications for project execution.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries, escalations, and client communications.
- Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to promote our expertise and capabilities in solar energy solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technical and operational roles within the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar C&I and rooftop projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale solar projects, preferably in the SEA region.
- Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, balance of system (BOS) components, and grid integration technologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and utility interconnection requirements in the Philippines and other SEA countries.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials would be advantageous.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Filipino or other regional languages is a plus.
